Hailing from the dusty outskirts of Benson, North Carolina, Broadslab blends the soulful and psychedelic sounds of mid-twentieth-century rock and roll with today’s darker themes and southern-fried heavy metal to forge a powerful new genre they call Soul Metal. Their name comes from a region known worldwide for its deep history of moonshining and bootlegging, and their music and live shows channel the stories of their ancestors high-speed midnight runs and hair-raising run-ins with the law.
